Michael A. Palmer  (1942-   ), American

Mr. Palmer was born on December 8, 1942. He received his BFA in 1970 from the University of New Hampshire. He has lived and worked in Key West for most of the last two decades, and also spends time in Maine. Having painted professionally for 42 years, his work is seriously collected around the world.  Mr. Palmer is listed in the prestigious "Who's Who in Art" and many of his works have an abstract quality that adds to their intrigue. He depicts rooftops, narrow streets, bird's eye views of cityscapes or people going about their everyday business with an unmistakable architectural approach. The architectural pieces are wonderful studies in perspective, shadow effects, line and broken geometrical shapes, always in a subtle color palette. Michael is known for systematically combining paint and ink.
